I was matched up with Greg from Kindergarten Smorgasboard! I sent him my Gingerbread Hunt Around the School product. The kids are sent on a wild goose chase around the school as they try to find the Gingerbread Man. When they finally get back to the classroom, the Gingerbread Man is waiting with a snack for them! It's so, so, so fun!
Greg sent me this fun gingerbread unit.
It's made for kindergarten and is aligned to kindergarten Common Core standards. However, there were plenty activities in the pack that my 2nds could do. And they loved it!
I made these little booklets, but I like to be able to copy them back to back and then use a long-armed stapler to bind into books. So, I cut the pages apart and taped them into the order I wanted.
I then arranged them in alternating directions and copied back-to-back. Now they are perfect!
Since I don't have a color printer at school, I had the students color the headings for our Venn Diagram anchor chart.
Now it's ready to be filled in!
The students had fun arranging cards in order for how to bake a gingerbread man. This was a fun sequencing activity. I copied it on colored cardstock.
Another group worked on sequencing the story into our pocket chart. Great practice!
